The National Corvette Museum was established as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit foundation with a mission of celebrating the invention of the Corvette; preserving its past, present and future; and educating the public about Corvette. The Museum opened in 1994 and is a 115,000 square foot facility located on a 55 acre campus.
The National Corvette Museum showcases the Chevrolet Corvette, an American sports car that has been in production since 1953. It is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, off Interstate 65's Exit 28. It was constructed in 1994, and opened to the public in September of that year.
Each November the National Corvette Museum “salutes” members of the American armed forces as well as police and firefighters by offering complimentary admission to them and immediate accompanying family. Just show proof of service at our admissions counter to receive the offer – with our gratitude.
National Corvette Museum is Wayne’s World! Even if you’re just marginally interested in cars, specifically Corvettes, you will enjoy this museum. We showed up early so we could be one of the 25 (first come/first serve) who can go on the guided tour.
Plant Tours. Please note: Plant tours ARE UNAVAILABLE AND RESUME IN 2019. Tours of the Bowling Green Assembly Plant are closed and a date of reopening has not been determined.
